Course Description
MSE 201 is a three credit course emphasizing the classification of the materials, atomic structure, periodic table, molecular structure, bonding in solid materials, structure of crystalline and non-crystalline materials, imperfections in solids, phase diagrams, atom movements and diffusion, phase transformations: concepts of driving force, nucleation, growth and TTT curves and use of ceramics, glasses and composites, material selection, and design.
